- I admit, I had my doubts about this relationship. Rebound relationships are tough, but this one was challenging with all they were up against. But the author sold it to me. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

- Clay has been devastated and Luke is working hard to pay off debt. This story has a third main character the horse King. King also has his own trauma to overcome. We get to see Luke's caring nature help King. In loving this horse he sets in motion the things that add to his own growth and eventually into healing for Clay too. But there is still some fear to work through and love can be tough.
