I was so happy to attend the Dreamspinner Writer's workshop in March. With most of March filled with endless editing (Becoming Rory will come out... eventually), I didn't have a lot of time to think about the discussions I had with Poppy about my newsletter. Yeah I know you can't sign up for it yet, but you can find it here: ARDOR.
But I also got to talk to Lynn. You know, the terrifying discussion... here is my beautiful idea (please don't chop it off at the knees when it is still shiny and beautiful! Please!). She didn't and so I've been working on the super secret project. I've even submitted the super secret project. And I'll tell you all about it as soon as it gets the "yes you are totally official and have a contract" seal of approval.
What? You want more? I'm a rebellious guy:
“Started smoking again?”
Brian didn’t turn to look. The deep voice betrayed the speaker’s identity. Like so many things, Brian couldn’t remember it. He just knew it. The difference was a constant source of frustration. “Brandon,” Brian said quietly. He sucked deeply on the cigarette again, letting loose a second stream of smoke.
“It’s good,” Brandon said. How a voice like that could turn quiet, Brian wasn’t sure, but it had. “Makes this feel at least a little like you.”
Brian grunted. “That’s supposed to mean something?”
“Bri, come on. You know me.”
