Holidays Are Where Your Heart Is

I like the ability for these two men to move forward seems to be logical given the place and mindset they are in even before they met. I love how the children are put first in what they are doing which is a bit sad considering their own parent's priorities. But it just shows the depth of character these two men possess. This was a wonderful sweet Christmas morning read.

The holidays are about children, right? 'Holidays Are Where Your Heart Is' by Bru Baker is all about making the season great for kids. Yes, there is a sweet budding romance but, it takes a backseat to giving Lukas and Lia Bischof the perfect Christmas.

Jared’s current traveling manny gig takes him to Costa Rica caring for the Bischof twins. He is determined to make the holidays bright for Lukas and Lia despite the absence of their parents. Here he meets Wes, who has settled in as a chef for the remote, yet posh Costa Rican resort where they’re staying.

Together Jared and Wes figure out the “St. Nicholas thing” that seems to have the kids in a downward spiral. They pull out all the stops for the children. Along the way a sweet romance emerges among the traditions of the season. Until each knows there is real potential for more.

'Holidays Are Where Your Heart Is', is a story with little time for in depth character development. However, there is enough to make it complete and leave you yearning for more. This sweet and fluffy holiday treat ends with your imagination running wild with what New Year’s will bring for Jared and Wes.

Jared had been working as a Holiday Manny for several years now –travelling the world over while caring for his young charges –but, lately, had been wanting to find a place to call home and settle down. His latest assignment took him to Costa Rica for nearly a month, with a pair of twins.
Wes was employed by an exclusive Costa Rican resort as a chef but also volunteered to assist guests with other activities, which led him to give the twins surf lessons.
Wes and Jared hit it off immediately and soon the four of them were off on adventures and day trips, as the parents were almost completely absent. They worked together to keep Christmas traditions alive for the kids –not an easy task when living in the tropics!
Soon enough, the stay-cation was drawing to an end when an opportunity presents itself.
Was what they had together enough to take a leap of faith in a new direction?
