Evelyn Esrig is a twentysomething grad student living in the Deep South pursuing a dual careers in writing and social work. She has a rat terrier-beagle mix named Nick Fury who is twice as paranoid as his namesake and a Jewish mother whose guilt trips are almost as delicious as her cooking. She currently camps out in a basement apartment where she works on classwork, volunteer work, and writing work. She’s been writing since she was eleven years old and finally worked up the guts to turn it into something she could share professionally. She has a BA in creative writing from FSU and a minor composed of other classes that didn’t start before noon, including The Slavic Vampire, The History of the Deep South in Film, and Sexuality in Antiquity—all of which have already proved to be far more useful in her real life than Chemistry.
